We take a step back only a few hours before Durok makes himself known to the police.
[Y] Bloody Memories: The Rise of Darkness

Officer Randal sat at the desk of the newly remodeled police station doing paper work. He hated paper work, but Randal guessed that keeping the streets just wasn't enough for the city. It's not like the city changed much when they took a criminal or two off the streets every few weeks, but they just got replaced by more criminals, pedofiles, serial killers, rapist, and the usual car-jacker. It seemed like the jail was just getting too full with so many crinimals. Randal sat at the computer filling out a form for the most recent tickets. His fur usually kept him to hot to work in the police department, but the recent air-conditioning made working there during normal hours very easy recently. Officer Harper, a badger, and the veteran of the whole department and full of hot air came up from behind Randal and spoke. "Hey, Randal did you see the game last night?" Randal looked up at Harper with bloodshot eyes from looking at the computer screen to long. "No, couldn't. The wife demanded we had family time last night."

"Ah, so how long were you in bed with her?" Harper asked in that tone of voice that always ticked Randal off.

"We didn't, I had to play board games with her sister, of course they stopped playing only ten minutes after we had started, after they both had their third fruity drink in a row. They were laughing at each other for like....fifteen minutes maybe then they fell asleep and by then I was to tired to watch the game." Randal looked back to the computer screen as a sign saying to go the fuck away. Harper simply laughed and walked off.

Twenty minutes later Randal finished all of the forms, they had become more and more frequent so it was easier as he went on. He was the last one from they day shift still in the office, in another ten minutes the department would be filled with the graveyard shift officers and they were always in a pissy mood. Randal turned the computer off and sat back in his chair sighing in tiredness. He was about to get up when his desk phone rang. He ignored it and started to get up as the messege machine took over. He decided he'd listen to the person calling, if they needed help he'd answer if not he'd go home and call it a night. He waited for the beep and listened. *Beep* "Hello officer Randal, it's me the man who killed your partners." The voice sounded sadistic even over the phone. Randal stood there in total horror wondering who this person thought he was. "Your partners shot me, with tasers and I let you live." Randal grabbed the phone up and spoke very angerly.

"Listen buddy, I don't know who you are but you better stop fucking with me." Randal spoke with an edge in the voice.

The voice didn't even change his totally calm tone. "Good you here now, I have someone coming to see you he will be here-"

Randal cut the man off. "You little fucker, you don't call this number again you hear me?!" Randal slammed the phone down on the hanger and started off when the phone rang again, this time Randal answered.

"I thought I told you not to call this number again!" Randal screamed in the phone but, another voice spoke.

"What are you talking about hunny? I called to remind you to pick up something for dinner." It was his wife's voice, she sounded a little drunk already and she'd be in a coma by the time he got home.

"Sorry, work it really stressful tonight. I'll see you when I get home anything you want for dinner?" He spoke in mid-tone thinking about what the man before had said.

"Surprise me." If Randal was there he'd see her with a seductive smile, she still knew how to make his long day worth the drive home. Maybe that's why he stayed with her but, he didn't know. He hung up the phone without saying good-bye still thinking on the words the man had said. As soon as he put the phone down it rang again. He answered thinking it was his wife again. It wasn't.

"Hello again Randal. I suggest you don't hang up on me again, I don't want this to end badly and you don't want that either do you? As I was saying my contact should be at the police station within....oh wait....he is already there...he has a messege for you and I suggest you listen carefully his throat isn't was it used to be." The voice hung up and Randal heard the door opening from the front of the police station. He looked down the hall to see a ferret his head sideways and he looked to be bleeding everywhere. Seeig the blood Randal ran to help the the ferret but when he got closer he saw the extent of the damage. His throat was torn up to total un-repairable state and blood continued to pour out all over the ferret's blood stained suit. He ferret started to walk toward him and Randal took a few steps back in total horror. The ferret gurgled a few words that were unadible then he spoke the only words Randal knew from experience in the force.

"Kill me....kill me now...."
