The Cronicles of Jason the Dragon

By SonicDragon88

“Holy Crap!  Get it out! Get it out!  A very pregnant female dragon shouted at a male dragon near her pelvis.  “God Damn, it Hurts!”

“Shhhhhhhh, easy now here comes the head!”  The male dragon shouted towards his partner.  He shuttered as he heard his mate scream and a small infant dragon slide out.  He took the small newborn in his arms and dried him off with a small flame from his mouth.  He checked the pelvis of the newborn and saw a small penis dangling from the middle of the groin.  “It’s a boy.”  He said as he handed over the dragon to his wife.

“Oh, well, his name will be Jason.”  She kissed his head as she soothed the crying infant.  She looked up at her mate’s warm eyes and smiled.  “So what do we do now?  He shouldn’t have been born in the first place.

“We’ll raise him the best we can.”  He replied as he kissed her on the forehead.  “We’ll make it, I swear.”

            Sixteen years later….

“Jason you’re an ass and a mistake!”  A fat dragon shouted from the couch as a muscular red and black dragon walked by.

“Shut up dad, you’re just drunk again!”  Jason shouted back as slammed the door to his room shut.

“Don’t……talk to me like…..thaa!”  The large dragon stumbled off the couch and slammed into the wall as he chased Jason to his room.  Jason laid down on his bed and starred at the ceiling.  He turned over on his side and picked up a picture of three dragons, one his father (better looking then), one his mother and him when he was eight.

“Mom, why did you have to leave?”  Jason asked quietly to himself as he threw his school bag off his bed, the memories of the school day flying away with it.  He had gotten suspended again for punching a tiger that called him ‘half-blood’.  He was often called that for his mother was from another tribe and his father a direct blood line from the common tribe.  Jason sighed and set the frame down, getting up look out the window.  He looked at the horizon and the setting sun and wondered if there was anything better out there.  He decided to ponder over the question tomorrow, after all, he wouldn’t be going to school for the next ten days.  Jason opened the door and crept out in to the hallway.  He stepped over to his father’s side and helped hoist himself up of the ground.  A large blood stain was on the wall from where his skull impacted.  “Come on, get up you drunk ass.”  Jason scoffed as his father wobbled upward.  “You should get to bed, you’re gonna have one hell of a hangover tomorrow.”  His father nodded and walked to his room and passed out again this time making it half way on the bed.

“What’s there to eat in this cave?”  Jason looked into the fridge only to find a can of pop and an old slice of pizza.  “Shit, I’m tired of this.  I hate living here, I hate the people, and I hate it all!”  Jason shouted as he poured the soda into his mouth followed by the entire slice of pizza in one bite.

“Then leave….” A misty voice echoed through his head.

“Who the hell?” Jason spun around only to see the darkness of the cave, the voice still echoing on the inside of his head.  He walked to the couch only to see a silvery female dragon sitting on the right side.  “Mom…..”

“Come my son, let me help you.  You need to leave this town.”  She put her hand on her shoulder as Jason sat down and stared at her.

“H-how are you here?  Why are you here?”  Jason stammered through his surprise.  He kept looking at her and blinking, making sure she was really there

“It was necessary, I needed to tell you to leave this town, if you stay, and your life will be ruined.  Leave, have fun with your life.  There’s nothing left for you here.”

“I know mom, but what about him?”  Jason motion towards his father’s door.

“He’ll be fine, trust me.  I have to leave now son, remember, I love you.” As her figure faded, she kissed his forehead and vanished.  Jason felt the scales where he was kissed then walked to bed, still dizzy from the vision.  “Must have been the pizza.”  Jason said to himself as he shifted into his bed.  As he closed his eyes he heard the nostalgic voice one more time; “I love you son, good night.” Jason smiled and fell asleep.

The next morning Jason woke early and left a note on the table.

I’m leaving this hell-hole town, take care of yourself,

                                                                                                -Jason”
