Waking up and sliding off of the black, resin coated walls of his room, the Guardian Xenomorph that was known as Camirus by a local female wolf that was born on a Indian reservation with many, almost tribal markings across her ashen grey and white body, simply named Moon by her mother after her father was killed for something that never happened. Being the only one left after his Matriarch and brothers were killed to clear the tunnels so the town that had been taken by them for a home could be re-inhabited by the locals that had once lived there, Cam knew that there were many other colonies on the planet, but after being the only one left after being sent out by his Matriarch to hunt her some food when the tunnel was blasted with enough napalm to burn everything except his room and the sealed ventilation system that he and most of the other Guardian’s traveled when sent out by the Matriarch for either hunting for themselves and her, or to protect the Praetorians or Drones while harvesting humans or the odd humanoid furs to increase numbers.
Letting out a soft hiss as he exhaled slowly, Cam looked around the room for a moment and noticed a scent in the air that was out of place, but entirely familiar to him that flowed in through the open ventilation for ease of travel. Even though he couldn’t talk to her physically, he knew that Moon somehow understood him either by his gestures or by some other means. As the door to the room opened with a loud hiss from the hydraulic rams opening the door only to let light flow into the room considering the energy station was torched and destroyed the day his Matriarch was killed.
“Good morning Cam,” Moon said as she walked into the damp, resin covered room with an electrically powered lamp so it could be adjusted in the case he didn’t want the light. “I’m sorry I didn’t get here a little sooner…Ares just about wouldn’t let me in to see you since I’m about the only one that will have anything to do with you.”
Hissing at the mention of Ares, the local ex-Marine that helped burn out the tunnels but ended up shooting a superior officer after thinking he was a “Bug” (or so they called all Xenomorph’s out of pure hatred), Cam slowly walked around Moon and laid about her with his tail lightly in her lap. Being the only one that he ever felt comfortable around anyone since losing his Matriarch and the only one that he had never been aggressive towards since she was the one that found him in the ventilation shaft, apparently unconscious from the shock of the Queen (or so called by the Colonial Marines) dying a horrible death.
“Well, it’s nice to see you’re feeling good this morning Cam,” Moon said with a slight giggle as a soft growl escaped his throat after he curled up around her gently. “I just wish there was some other way I could talk to you other than physically…” she said to herself as she looked at Cam for a moment. “…Let me think, I read once that the Matriarch communicates with the others either through pheromones or a psychic connection that allows her to communicate with multiple Xenomorph’s throughout the Hive…Sort of like a Hive mind.”
A little perplexed about what she should do, Moon gently laid her hand on Cam’s head and shivered a little at the cool, damp feeling against the pads on her hand and was happy to hear what she took as a delightful hiss as she lightly slid her hand along the top of his head. Thinking to herself a little bit about everything she had learned from Cam because he let her do studies on his blood (which she had to create a special compound to coat the needles and inside of the test tubes to keep the molecular acid from melting through them), the coating of slime that covers his entire body and is highly resistant to acid. Also, she tested everything else about him, a small skin sample from his tail which healed perfectly back to normal, saliva for any bacteria and found that despite being a parasitic organism in the beginning stages of life, they are completely and emphatically the purest organism on the planet that was currently alive, and smart beyond anyone’s comprehension.
Letting out a soft hiss as Moon gently slid her hand along the top of his head, Cam knew in the back of his mind that she was the only one that watched over him and kept him protected after his Matriarch was burned to death on his way out of the tunnels. But something about her just seemed as comforting about her touch that he had never felt at any point in his life. From the time he felt her help him out of the ventilation shaft that he was still in even after the fire had dissipated and all the dead bodies cleaned out, he still remembered the soft touch on his hand to see if he was still alive and how gentle she was at helping out of the vent and back into his resin covered room.
“I wonder…” Moon said as Cam gently pressed the front of his head into her hand almost affectionately. “…I’ll be back in a few minutes Cam. I know you have to go out and eat, so this will give me some time to get some things done…I have an idea that may allow me to talk to you, but I need some time to get the microsurgery done.”
Watching as Cam moved from around her and started up the wall and onto the ceiling, Moon smiled as he growled softly before sliding gracefully into the open vent and disappearing silently into the ventilation system to go find an animal or something to eat. As she stood up off the damp and somewhat comfortable resin covered floor, she grabbed the lamp and walked out the door while shutting it behind her so no one would stumble upon him and possibly killed. After making sure the door was closed, Moon made her way towards the entrance of the tunnel where Ares was waiting on her to get out and make sure she wasn’t injured.
“So, is the bug still there Moon?” Ares asked as he propped his Pulse Rifle up onto his shoulder and looked at her with his only good eye since a splash of the Alien blood hit his face after killing one upon entering the tunnel. “When the hell are you going to let me kill that bastard or try to run him out of the tunnels?”
“Oh stow it Ares,” Moon barked as she bared her fangs at him out of anger at the way he acted around her since she was the only one to even care for Cam. “You’re not going to kill him or run him out…He is doing nothing to anyone except staying in his room where he feels safe considering there is someone setting outside waiting to kill him for no reason!”
Thinking to himself at how sexy Moon was when she was angry, Ares being a wolf himself, he was highly attracted to her and wanted her so badly to be his mate. And even though knowing she wouldn’t have anything to do with him since he was an ex-Marine grunt, he still wanted her as his mate so badly that he couldn’t stand it and threatened of taking her against her own will.
“Oh, you’re so sexy when you get angry Moon,” Ares said as he pinned her up against the wall and pressed his knee against her crotch and getting within an inch of her face. “So, when are you ever going to let me take you as my mate…Or would you prefer that damn bug in there to mate you instead?”
“Get away from me you bastard wolf!” Moon exclaimed as she both slapped him and drove her knee into his groin which doubled him over on the ground and knocked the wind out of him heavily. “Listen to me you fucking idiot…I don’t care if we were the last two alive on the planet and I was beyond desperate for a mate, I wouldn’t never let you touch me intimately in any shape, form or fashion. And as far as Cam goes, I would rather have him mate me as you, because I at least know he would be gentler with me than you could ever be.”
As she started to walk away from Ares, Moon felt him take hold of her leg which caused her to turn and kick his arm off of her leg before spitting on his shoulder and walking off. Knowing he would be coming for her again later on in the evening, but at that time she usually spent more time with Cam in the tunnels since she felt safer with him than by herself. Getting close to the medical building so she could have a microsurgery to have an implant installed that she hoped, would allow her to talk to Cam through psychic means, Moon took a deep breath and leaned in against the wall next to the medical bay, she lightly stroked her muzzle and wanted to cry like every time Ares tried to take her either in the open or when he busted into her room one night and tried to rape her until she put a pistol in his ear to run him out of the room.
Taking another deep breath before entering bay, Moon just wished she could get everything done so she could spend the rest of the evening with Cam before deciding on going to bed…But then it started running through her mind that if things went well and she could communicate with him good, she actually thought about staying the night with him if he didn’t mind her being in the room with him. As she walked into the bay, Moon was greeted by the male human that she’d known for about four years now by the name of Dr. Kale Morris.
“Ah, Moon, it’s good to see you again my dear…” Kale said as she came into the room but noticed she seemed a little flustered about something. “…My dear, is something wrong?”
“It’s Ares again Kale…” she said with a heavy sigh as he motioned for her to take a seat across from him while he poured her a cup of tea. “…As usual he’s trying to force himself on me again and I finally blew up on him in front of some of his men. I want that new implant that has been going around...I’m going to test a theory that I’ve been having. You know that I’ve been keeping the Xenomorph protected in the tunnels and I want to know if it will allow me to communicate with him.”
Nodding at Moon’s theory about the mental implant, Kale knew that it gave most every single person that had it done psychic abilities to where they could talk to one another over a short distance and in some rare cases, allowed some to be taken into an Alien Hive and even hear the communication between the Matriarch and her children to try and anticipate what they were going to do.
“Yes, I do believe your theory may be right,” Kale said with a laugh at her blowing up on Ares in front of some of his men. “But Moon, you aren’t getting the idea on staying with The Xeno tonight are you?”
“Kale, he’s the only one here that can keep me safe from Ares…” Moon said as she leaned back against the seat and took a sip of the tea. “…It’s strange really. He’s so gentle with me, and just seems like he wants to protect me and I want to keep him safe from Mr. Trigger Happy out there…I don’t know Kale, he just seems so different since being disconnected from the Matriarch that was over this area, he just acts so much differently from the others at the other sites around the planet.”
Hoping that what she said wouldn’t cause Kale to think badly of her or anything, Moon knew that in the back of his mind and from what he had heard about Cam, there was a major difference in his actions compared to those that were under control of a Matriarch at the many other sites that had been refused to cleared out at the request of a high ranking official back on Earth until some other means of handling them could be come up with.
“I will agree with you on that point Moon,” Kale said as he finished his tea and looked through the sealed implants and found the one that he was looking for and set it down on the table in front of her. “From what I’ve been hearing about how he acts with you, you may have found what the higher ups are looking for to try and take care of the…”
“No Kale!” Moon said almost dropping her tea from standing up so fast. “Speak nothing of this to anyone about what I am doing…I want no one but me and you to know about this. Don’t even file that this microsurgery took place, because if the brass finds out that Cam is the way he is because of what happened to the Matriarch here…If they do, then they will massacre the other Hive’s without even attempting to communicate with them. They are the purest organisms on this planet Kale, even though they are parasitic and kill the hosts upon birth; their intelligence is greater than we can ever comprehend.”
Almost freaking out that Moon acted so passionately about trying to protect the Xenomorphs that were left on the planet, Kale sighed heavily and nodded his head at her request to keep the surgery quiet and to not inform any of the higher ranked personnel because he also knew they would find some way to completely destroy the other Hive’s on the planet and possibly eradicate any chance of possibly trying to figure out if they are as savage as they seem or possibly if there is more to it than just killing, hunting and harvesting people for vessels for incubators.
“Alright, alright,” Kale said trying to get Moon to calm down. “Take it easy Moon; I won’t inform anyone of any of this. Just, promise me you will be careful after this is done because you don’t know what Cam will do when you are able to mentally talk to him…For all we know, he may try to kill you or go berserk and attempt to go to one of the other Hives and try to bring an entire army here to kill us?”
“It’s a risk I want to take Kale,” Moon said as she handed him the implant and headed over to the operating table. “No it’s one that I have to take…I don’t want to see anything happen to him or anything.”
Knowing that she sounded a little strange about an enemy, Moon hoped that Kale wouldn’t think badly of her or anything of that nature considering she did feel very comfortable around Cam and more protected than with anyone that was in the area and knew he would protect her from Ares with is life. As she removed a very light long sleeved shirt she was accustomed to wearing, she laid back on the operating table with her shorts and tank top on while she waited for him to get ready to get everything started.
“I understand Moon,” Kale said as he opened the package the implant came in and laid it in a device that would put it in for him during the operation. “I just want you to be careful around both of them, alright?”
“I know Kale,” Moon said with a sigh as the automated systems began the pre-op procedures by injecting her with a quick acting sedative that would keep her under the entire time. “But like I said, I think Cam is the only on that can truly keep me safe from Ares…Besides, I would like to be able to talk to him instead of having to guess if he is happy about something I say and such.”
[4 and a half hour after the operation…]
“Welcome back to the land of the living Moon,” Kale said as he lightly pressed a cool rag against her forehead to cool her off some from the sedative wearing off to quickly. “The implant went in fine and as far as my scans can tell, it’s working perfectly in tune with your brainwaves…But still, try and limit the time you try to communicate with Cam alright?”
“Yeah, I will Kale,” Moon said groggily as she very slowly set up on the edge of the table at about the same time he handed her the shirt she had removed before hand. “I just honestly hope this works…If nothing else then I should probably just be happy this was a success right now eh?”
Laughing and nodding slightly as Moon slowly stood up from the table and pulled her shirt on, Kale was amazed at how quickly she always seemed to recover from an operation or anything of that sort. As he watched her leave the med bay, he set down at his work desk and looked at the computer screen which wanted him to send his report to the station is orbit before having it sent back to Earth…He simply canceled the operation report and deleted it from the mainframe so it wouldn’t be found by accident or by someone who knew what to look for.
“Okay now, I guess I had best get some cloths to change into in the morning if Cam doesn’t mind me staying with him tonight,” Moon said to herself as she started off towards her room to gather a few things along with her gun just in case Ares decided to bother her. “I just hope this thing actually lets me talk to him on some level…Because it’s really hard to guess if a hiss or a growl is one thing or the other anymore seems like.”
Making it to her room finally to grab a few things together so she could pack them in the backpack she had brought from Earth her mother had made her years ago, Moon packed an extra shirt, a few extra magazines for her pistol (that she hoped she wouldn’t have to use on Ares tonight), an extra change of shorts and a bedroll, along with a pillow so she wouldn’t have to lay her head on the resin covered floor’s mainly because of the dampness of his room.
“Well, that should be everything,” Moon said to herself as she closed the top of the backpack after getting everything together. “I just hope Ares is either in the barracks or not around the tunnels before I get over there…”
“Moon, where are you!?” Ares screamed in a drunken stupor as he began to get close to her room. “Get your sexy ass out here right now…YOU HEAR ME?!”
Thinking to herself that she was going to have to end up shooting Ares before the night was over, Moon removed the pistol from the holster on her hip and made sure there was a round chambered and the safety was off before she decided to step outside and try to handle the drunk wolf before he either decided to hurt someone or hurt her.
“Oh pipe down Ares,” Moon said as she stepped out of her room and locked the door. “I’m not in the mood to deal with your drunken ass tonight so you might as well get to your bunk and sleep the liquor off…”
“Oh…Feisty tonight aren’t we now?” Ares said with highly slurred words before nearly falling against a nearby wall. “S-so, when are you ever g-going to let me get in those tight p-pants?”
Shaking her head slightly before Ares pinned her against her door, Moon removed the pistol from the holster and lightly pressed it against his ribcage which caused him to step back a little, knowing full well that she wouldn’t hesitate to kill him if she needed too from the way he was acting.
“Now, I’m only going to tell you this once so you had best sober up fast…” Moon started with a highly agitated growl in her voice. “…You either get back to your room to sleep this off, get your men to drag you back after you pass out or keep trying to overpower me and I splatter your damnable guts all over the wall there…Do I make myself clear Ares?”
“Crystal clear…” Ares said as if seeming to sober up instantly when he was pressed against the back wall with a high caliber pistol put in his ribcage. “…I-I guess I know a lost cause when I see one.”
Going back towards the tunnels while keeping her pistol at the ready just in case Ares decided to try anything again, Moon finally got far enough that she didn’t have to worry about him catching up to her or anything. Finally nearing the tunnels so she could get inside and shut the door behind her and hopefully be safer around Cam, she punched in the codes to open the door for five seconds and then close it exactly ten seconds after getting inside. Stopping just before the door opened fully, Moon pulled a flashlight from a sling on her backpack and slid into the door just as it started to close.
“Now, I have to see if Cam is in his room,” Moon said to herself softly as she turned the light on and made her way to his room. “I just honestly hope that this works, because I would so like to be able to communicate with him better.”
As she made her way down the twisting hallways of the supply tunnel, Moon slightly jumped as some of the automatic lights kicked on to light the way down the halls. As If having the entire area mapped out in her mind from traveling through them with Cam a lot just to keep her mind off everything out in the town, quickly made her way towards the room that had been spared from the searing force of the napalm that was used to fry everything in there and in the main hold where the Matriarch had made her home and nest. Before long, she finally reached the door that lead to his room and noticed a soft, hissing not far from where she was standing and looked around the dark halls before finally spotting a dark, and somewhat shinny figure crawling along the ceiling.
“Jesus Cam, don’t scare the shit out of me like that,” Moon said with a laugh as he crawled down the wall and slowly made his way over to her. “Hope you don’t mind me spending the night with you tonight…Ares is drunk off his ass again tonight…Almost had to kill him this time.”
Laughing slightly when she heard Cam growl nastily at Ares being mentioned. Moon hit the button to open the door that lead into his room and watched as he slid up the ceiling and into an open air vent that lead into his room. After she walked in, she pushed the door shut and dropped her backpack only to pull out the same electric lantern that she used earlier that day when she came to visit him and before she got the implant that would hopefully allow her to talk to him telepathically.
“Well, I guess I may as well find a flat area so I will be able to get at least a little sleep tonight,” Moon said to herself as she picked the lantern up to look around the room. “There we go, that will do fine for tonight I guess.”
Walking back over to her backpack to retrieve her bedroll, Moon smiled as she heard Cam slide through the ventilation and into his room with a soft hiss. Feeling a little apprehensive at the same time, she didn’t really know how things were going to go if she could talk to him mentally like she figured she would be able too, but if things did go good, she hoped things would be alright.
“I’ll wait a little while I guess, let him get back use to me being in here…” Moon said softly as she unrolled her bedroll and got it laid on the flatter part of the resin covered floor. “…Now let me see, Kale said I have to calm my mind before I tried to talk to him and just keep a clear mind the entire time my mind is connected to his. Especially since from what I’ve read, they have a very strong mental capacity.”
As she got settled down on the floor with the lantern next to where she had laid her pillow, Moon smiled slightly as Cam came over to where she was going to be sleeping and curled up around her with his tail gently swaying back and forth just inches from her. Reaching out slowly as to not provoke him or anything, she gently ran her hand along his smooth, yet slightly damp head from the high moisture content the resin let off into the room.
“Well, I guess now is as good of time as any…” Moon said to herself softly as she looked at the reflection of the lantern on his glossy head. Getting herself into a comfortable position on her bedroll, she took in a deep breath and exhaled slowly to calm herself and to let her mind empty of everything from the day before even attempting any form of communication.
“…Please just let this work.” Moon thought to herself without even opening her eye’s for the longest time. “Tell me you can hear my thoughts…”
Afraid for a few moment’s since she hadn’t heard Cam even breath, let along any movement, Moon opened her eye’s slowly and noticed he was only inches from her muzzle and she could feel his cold breath lightly flowing through her fine fur, but she refrained from moving for the longest time from being afraid he would either run or kill her. But after a few extremely tense moments, Moon felt Cam’s tail lightly slide around her waist.
“How…” Cam thought to her for a moment after a soft hiss escaped his throat. “…Only the Matriarch could speak to us or hear our thoughts. So, how is it you can speak to me?”
“Through a special tech that has been developed,” Moon said in her mind for Cam to hear. “It’s just that…I wanted a better way to communicate with you outside of just talking to you physically.”
Both a little surprised that Cam had accepted her and bewildered that he had gotten so close to her, Moon reached out slowly again and gently placed her hand on his forehead which he lightly stroked against her palm and growled softly, at which he reassured her was not threatening. Not really knowing how things were going to be through the night with a Xenomorph around her, she was actually glad that he was considering he was a lot stronger than any man (that didn’t have any cybernetic augmentations) in the city and would most likely protect her with his life.
“This is strange,” Moon said to herself as she looked at Cam for a moment. “But at the same time, it answers so many questions that I wanted answered…I guess I done right by getting this implant.”
“You are the first to ever touch my mind after the Matriarch was killed…” Cam said to Moon as she began to get comfortable on her bedroll. “…I find it odd that you are not of our species, but it is comforting to have someone near me again.”
After getting her shirt off to reveal the nearly skin tight piece she wore under her armor, Moon was highly surprised when Cam gently slid around her and rested his head against her left thigh. A little surprised that he didn’t have a strong (and somewhat overpowering) scent from being in a constantly damp environment, it was a very comforting feeling (but extremely strange) to have his extremely deadly tail slide up her back and through her warm fur.
“Um…Cam, I don’t mean to sound a little scared…” Moon started as she looked at his face for a moment and feeling a strange slight blush fill her face. “…But I know how dangerous your tail is and everything, but; is it safe for you to have it this close to me?”
“You do not have to worry about me harming you Moon,” Cam said in a strangely odd soft tone of voice even though in his mind. “You have protected me since you first found me in the ventilation shaft and kept that blood thirsty wolf away from me.”
Not really knowing why Cam was acting the way he was around her, Moon was somewhat comforted by his presence and knew that he was going to protect her anyway he could. But something that bothered her more was the fact that he sounded so comforted at finally having someone that could talk to him since his Matriarch was killed.
“I guess it was hard on you when she was killed…” Moon said softly as she slowly reached out and gently stroked his head. “…I was in orbit the day it happened. They called me and my team down to see if there was any injured after everything happened…And that is when I found you Cam.”
“It was more painful than if I would have been shot by them…” Cam said with a soft, almost mournful sound. “…It happened so fast that all I heard was a piercing scream and the sharpest pain through my mind…”
Noticing the soft, mournful sound from Cam, Moon almost whimpered at it and the tone of his mental voice just seemed to cause her heart to drop into the pits of her stomach. Even though he was from a completely different race than she was, she couldn’t help but to want to try and comfort him in some way mainly because she didn’t like to see anyone hurting from either physical or emotional pain.
“I know there is nothing I can say or do to make you feel any better Cam,” Moon said softly as she looked at him for a moment. “But not all everyone is cruel and heartless like the ones that torched this place or worse…Like Ares though he hates everyone that doesn’t like him. And I’m included in that crowd.”
“I know they are not all as bad as they seem Moon…” Cam said as he moved somewhat closer to her, feeling the comforting heat of her body and fur. “…I’ve watched from a distance during the days and somewhat closer during the nights while watching over you to make sure that wolf did not bother you.”
A little freaked out to hear that Cam watched over her during the nights some, Moon knew that if he had ever been spotted he would either have been killed or captured…And neither would have been good in her books considering she had grown attached to the Xenomorph more than she needed to be.
“Y…You kept watch over me during the nights without being seen?” Moon said softly as his head lightly touched her belly. “Thank you Cam…I sort of had the feeling that there was someone watching out for me during the nights when I would get home late.”
“I particularly wanted to keep the other wolf from bothering you like he always does…” Cam said to her softly as her sent began to ease his mind and help him relax. “…I know he bothers you a lot Moon. I’ve kept myself restrained for so long from killing him only because of you…And I won’t do anything that could possibly hurt you without your permission.”
A little astonished at what she was hearing from Cam at the moment, Moon didn’t know what to think except he sounds so calm and relaxed…More-so than he usually was when she was around him. Finding it a little odd that he had his head so close to her belly, she figured since they had highly sensitive scent, which her own scent was probably causing him to relax like he was considering she spent more time around him than needed for some and actually (if not oddly) relaxed as well from having him as close as he was to her.
“Cam…” Moon said softly as she looked at his fragile looking frame that was stronger than appeared. “…I want to stay here for a few nights to stay away from Ares if that is alright with you.”
“I have no problem with you being here Moon,” Cam said to her softly, but could hear something in her voice that made him wonder a little. “Is…Everything alright?”
Happy to hear Cam didn’t have any problem with her being there a few nights, Moon figured in the back of her mind that he would pick up on the strain in her voice a little bit from where she was actually coming into heat. Though knowing he wouldn’t do anything the entire time she was there, it was Ares she was worried about if she went back to the town in the next day or so…And it would result in her killing him and being thrown in jail, which was the only reason she wanted to stay with him in the tunnels.
“It’s just…” Moon started before gently stroking the top of his head gently. “…In the next couple of days I’m going to be coming into heat and I want to stay away from Ares considering if I don’t…I will probably end up killing him and going to jail.”
“Of course you can stay here Moon,” Cam said, not really knowing what to think about her actually coming into heat. “I don’t want to see that wolf bother you or anything…Nor do I want to see anything happen to the only one here that I care about.”
A little surprised that Cam said he didn’t care for her staying a couple of nights, Moon gently slid her hand along the smooth ridges on his head which caused him to hiss softly into her belly. Feeling his cool breath flow through her fur softly caused her to shiver slightly and wonder exactly what it would be like if he was to actually show interest in her when she did come into heat in the next day or so…But at the same time, she actually wondered if it would actually happen or not and it sort of scared her.
“Thank you Cam,” Moon said softly as she stroked her muzzle and cheek into the pillow she had brought. “I’m just happy you let me stay in here with you for the next few days…I-I’ve been thinking though, I want to leave this city and have been wondering if you would come with me so we wouldn’t be bothered by anyone…Especially by Ares.”
“That is tempting indeed my queen,” Cam said as he gently touched his forehead against her belly. “I may want to take you up on that seeing as that wolf wants me dead every single time he sees you or sees me for that fact.”
Raising up onto one elbow and looking down at Cam for a moment, Moon was wondering why he had referred to her as “his queen”. But one thing was for certain in the back of her mind, she knew that from his tone that he meant every word he was saying to her and in a sense that comforted her more than anything else right now. Feeling herself begin to drift off to sleep, Moon just simply let her sleepiness take her and drifted off into a deep, restful sleep.
Nearly jumping out of her skin from feeling Cam move from around her quickly, Moon rose up fast and grabbed at her pistol to chamber a round as she heard one of the outer doors open that led into where they both were sleeping.
“Cam, go into the vents and wait…” Moon said softly as she stood up and pulled her pants on and a shirt seeing as though it was cold. “…I have a feeling that may be Ares and a couple of his men. If they are here for ill reasons, then I want to you take them out…Quietly now so they can’t see you.”
“I understand my queen,” Cam said with a slight hiss as she took up the wall and into the open ventilation system so he could hide. “And it is the wolf and two others I do not recognize…Please be careful.”
Growling a little when she heard Cam say that it was Ares and two of his men, Moon stuck the pistol in the back of her pants and pulled her shirt down over it so she wouldn’t be seen with it when she walked out of the resin covered room. Walking up to the store and pushing the door open enough to stick her head out and look down the hall where she spotted a few lights shining down one of the other halls and some faint, but noticeable voices talking as she snuck out and run a short distance to an adjacent hall to keep an eye on the trio.
“Keep your eyes open now; I don’t want that bastard bug sneaking up on us…” Ares said as he scanned around the halls with his pulse rifle at the ready and the light on his shoulder following his eyes. “…I know that bitch is in here somewhere and that damned Xeno is most likely keeping an eye on her. And keep that flamethrower on the vents Marcum, I know he is silently watching us in there…So the first glint you see in any of those open vents, fry his black ass.”
Hearing a slight slur in Ares’ voice when he looked around to the human male with the flamethrower, Moon stepped out and moved down the hall just a little bit before making sure the safety was off on the pistol. Once she was sure, she could hear Cam’s claws tap lightly against the vent just above her so she could know he was watching her and making his way to an open vent not far from where the trio was heading.
“Now why would you want to kill him when he hasn’t done anything to you Ares?” Moon said as she walked around the corner and crossed her arms over her chest and stared at the three. “Or is it just the fact that you don’t like the fact that I chose to stay the night in here with him when I am only a few days from coming into heat and don’t want you near me in any shape, form or fashion?”
“Oh believe me Moon,” Ares said with an evil grin on his face as he placed his rifle up onto his shoulder. “If I wanted you as my mate I would take you by force if you didn’t want me to take you…Besides, I don’t want this fucking monster to lay a single claw on you when you come into heat.”
Laughing and shaking her head as she watched Cam slide out from the vent silently and slowly onto the ceiling, Moon leaned up against the wall before eyeing Ares as the two others seemed to fully let their guard down and not pay a single bit of attention to what was about to happen. As she moved close to the wolf for a moment, she took his rifle and pinned him up against the wall with her pistol in his throat and the hammer cocked back, just ready to fire.
“How about you two drop those guns before you get killed?” Moon said as she looked from Ares to the two humans that were dropping their guns slowly. “That’s better. Now, I just want you to understand something Ares…Cam will fully protect me with his life and I would drink his blood before I let you ever touch me in any other way that a simple handshake.”
“I-I don’t honestly think you would Moon…” Ares said, trying to move just a bit and getting the pistol pushed harder into his windpipe to get her point across. “…Okay, okay. Just relax now alright?”
Sighing a little to herself, Moon watched as Cam dropped silently from the ceiling only to cap his hand over one of the humans’ mouth and slice his throat clean open and simply stand behind the other for a moment. After a few moments, the second humans face twisted into a pained expression before the spear tipped tail slide out of his mouth and pull quickly back out with most of his entrails along with the spiny tail.
“Like I said Ares,” Moon said as she looked at Cam, who moved closer and hissed aggressively at the pinned wolf. “Cam will fully protect me with his life and judging by how quickly he took down these two…I would highly suggest you leave now and completely forget about ever being with me or even thinking about overpowering me…Because if he doesn’t kill you in here, then I will kill you myself the first day you ever try to take me without me saying anything or letting you even think about mating me. Cause honestly, I would rather him take me seeing as how he is more gentle with me then you could possibly ever be towards me.”
