[Y] Rivermore High Chapter Five
Lunch is always a nice time for students to get to know each other, and help old friends in different classes...and countries meet.
[Y] Rivermore High Chapter Five

The lunch room. As if they couldn't cram every single student inside a small room with food and not except fights. Eternity weaved his was through dozens of other furs, Kale had a hand on his shoulder so he wouldn't get lost in the crowd. They broke through the loud, noisy, very hungry crowd, and saw Trey sitting there, alone at their table. He look kind of upset but waved with a smile none the less. He took one look at Kale who trailed behind Eternity and a big sly grin spread across his face. As they reached the table Trey spoke.

"Who's that lovely little piece of puppy you've got there Eternity?" Trey said with that grin still plastered all over his face, he tilted his head so he could get a better look at Kale, who was standing behind Eternity, just looking out over his shoulder. Eternity took his seat across from Trey.

"He is a friend. Be nice." Eternity said as he opened the paper bag with his lunch inside it. He un-wrapped his sandwich and started eating it, while Kale stood there a little confused. Trey's grin vanished and he put one of his winning smiles on. He patted the seat next to him motioning Kale to come sit by him. Kale started walking over but stopped when he felt someone grab his wrist, it was Eternity. He hadn't even looked up from his lunch, and was still chewing. His voice was muffled from the food in his mouth.

"You sit here. Next to me." That was all he said, Kale didn't move but he continued to look at Eternity until Eternity pulled him down on the seat. Kale looked around quietly and looked around. Trey was the first to speak. "Eternity do you think we could--"

"No," Eternity said and looked at Trey "This one isn't for sharing." Trey looked like he was just slapped but, said nothing. He looked at Kale.

"So Kale, what school did you come from?" Trey asked avoiding Eternity's watchful gaze. Kale looked like he was just pulled out of his thoughts and looked at Trey blankly.

"What?" Kale asked.

"What school did you come from puppy?" Trey asked again, giggling.

"Oh um...no where you'd know of...up in the country, very hidden." Kales asked looking around, seeing some new faces, and some old.

"Try me." Trey looked at Kale with a look of intensity, as if his life depended on it. Kale could only stare, not know what to say then Trey smiled and laughed at him. "I'm just kidding! Haha, I couldn't tell you all the continents if you gave me a map! You should've seen the look on your--" Trey stopped himself and looked away from Kale, no, not away. Past him, his eyes were fixed right on one fur. Derek, the black-haired ferret. Although he didn't look black at all. In fact his fur was white. He took a seat next to Trey and smiled.

"Well it's nice to be welcomed back." The white haired ferret said jokingly.

"What happened to your fur?" Trey asked, almost blurting it out loudly. He continued to stare at him with a look of shock, although Eternity knew it was probably lust. His fur did look better that way anyway.

"I grew out my winter coat. Do you like it?" Derek asked looking back at the staring faces of Trey, Eternity, and the little husky sitting next to Eternity.

"Yeah it looks good," Eternity said still looking down at his food.

"I love it! It's better than the black you had before!" Trey gave Derek a quick hug, then looked around to see if anyone saw it.

"Hey Derek, this is Kale. He's new so play nice." Eternity took a big bite of his sandwich and motioned to the husky.

"Hi Kale, I'm Derek. It's nice to meet you." He held out a paw to Kale. Kale said a quiet "likewise" and shook hands with Derek. Eternity finished his sandwich and crumpled the bag. "Well let's get started before lunch is over." He said looking at them all.

"Start what?" Derek and Trey said in unison. Kale shot them a quick look of confusion, which in turn got him a bunch of girly giggles from Trey.

"Start teaching Kale. Showing him the ropes. So, any of you got any good advice?" Eternity asked Trey and Derek.

"All I can say is, blend in. You'll be picked on for looking different although you look the part of new kid right about now so don't change anything." Derek said with a happy voice.

"Yes and don't go out of your way to tell on someone, you have to be--" Trey was cut off by Eternity.

"That's not the kind of advice I'm talking about. Like who to avoid and such." Eternity said, he was obviously waiting for their answers and then he'd fill in the blanks.

"Well you should've avoided Mr.Tall, Dark, Scaley and Handsome here," Trey said. "But it's to late he has already roped you in." Eternity cringed and gave Trey a playful punch on the shoulder.

"What do you mean?" Kale asked, obviously wanted a real answer.

"Well besides Trey and Derek, they are my only friends. So I kind of keep to myself until you came along that is. What they mean to say is your my friend now." Eternity scrambled for a real decent, not gay fantasy reasons and he stuttered when he spoke. "So that's basically it." Trey and Derek looked at each other with unapproved glances, then laughed.

"Whats so funny?" Eternity demanded.

"No...nothing...nothing at all..." Trey said still giggling. "Come on Derek, let's leave Kale and Eternity to their lunch." Derek nodded and the both got up and walked out of the lunch room. Eternity felt Kales stare boring a hole in the back of his head.

"What?" He didn't even turn his head to look at Kale. Before Kale could say anything the bell rang.

"Time to go!" Eternity said and quickly made his way to the door. Kale followed closely behind. It was time for the worst class, not just the worst class but the most painful. It was where face hit mat and floor. Gym Class.
