that was the only words i remember from my mother before she died from a unknown cause. its ten years since that day. And i have lived alone ever since
i woke up like i do every, morning making breakfeast and feeding my kittens Black and star and making myself ready for a hard day of work at the lab.
i entered the lab like every morning, talked to my boss like i usually do and i even got scolded like usually.
i met up with my co-workers Gwen, Mick and ben we discussed what we where about to work on. We call it for "Project Infinity Energy" or "PIE" for short, We headed for our department and i headed into the testing grounds to place the "PIE" prototype that was ready for testing.
After placing the device i headed back and turned it on remotely from a safe point 190 feet away, in the starting sequence it all went well but something happened during the test run i turned to Gwen and said "i'll go take a look"
"Don't. We got no idea what can happen if you go out there while the device is turned on" she replied, i shook my head slightly and jumped in a hazard suit. "Dont worry i'll be alright, the chances something will go wrong is one to a million" i headed out there not knowing what was about to happen.
I got to the device and started looking at it, i quickly found out that something was stuck somewhere inside it
i took the "PIE" and opened it carefully surprised by what i saw inside.
It was a fang from some sort of creature i activated my mobile with voice control "Phone, On, Call Gwen" i waited as it called then i heard her "so whats the deal?" i looked down at the fang again before answering "its some sort of Fang from a big wolf i would guess."
"What? how the hell did it end up in the PIE? didnt you check it before we headed out for this job?"
"I got no idea, and yes i cheched it before we got here i even checked it before placing it" i quickly answered.
I could hear her think i mean hear her litterally because when she thinks she makes noises, some time passed before she said
"take it with you back we need to find out what it is... but let us turn the PIE off first..." it was too late. I heard some noise from the "PIE" and the fang shot up from it and pirced through the suit and properly ended up someplace in my guts, i could feel the pain and smell the blood from under my suit then i looked at the "PIE" and saw that it had started the green light emitting from it made me dizzy and then i passed out with the screams of Gwen in my ear "JOHN!!!".
I awoke on a bed in the safe spot the doctors that usually is at every station had saved my life when i almost had died from blood loss, i asked them if they had found the fang inside me they said that they didnt find anything else than the wound that it left on me.
I got send home by one of the doctors i can still hear him say the words "Take it easy for a while, okay?" i walked straight to bed and fell asleep on the spot .
the next morning when i awoke i felt like i had been out drinking for two days straight, i stumbled down the stairs and entered the bathroom and splashed some water in my face before taking a bath.
When i came out i felt a bit better i got dried off and changed my bandages
i walked over to the mirror and noticed that my face was somehow different from before, some of my teeth had gotten sharper
and my hair had gotten a bit longer.
I could even see that my muscles had gotten much bigger than before, i walked into the living room and grabbed my phone i dialed Gwen's number and waited.
Some time passed before i heard the well known voice of my dear co-worker "hello who is it? is it you John?" i smiled a bit before answering "yeah its me, i got something amazing to show you when do you have time for a small meeting?" i could hear her talk with someone from the main branch before answering me "after work at my home come at 17:25 and dont be late" she hung up.
I looked at my watch 12:21 it said i decided to go take a small nap until the meeting time
i awoke at 16:01 and got ready to meet her, i discovered that my muscles had grown some more while i had been asleep
i took my car and rushed towards Gwens house.
Gwen was living a bit outside the city and it took me an round hour and a speeding ticket to get there in time
i knocked on her door and she shortly after opened it, her eyes got a bit wide as she saw the clearly taller and more well built
new John "what the... hell..." was the only thing she said before pulling me inside closing the door after her.
"What the HELL happened to you? and dont say you worked out because NO one can get that much muscles in just one day!"
i smiled a bit feeling a bit silly "actually i got no idea how i ended up like this," she looked at me curiously and pulled me inside before closing the door.
She turned around and looked at me then her eyes widened a bit and she pointed at the top of my head "w-whats that?" i moved my hands
up and i could feel some animal ears just above my own, i started to panic i couldn't breathe i fell to my knees and collapsed onto the floor.
