I. New days, new adventures

He was walking along in the forest, his combat boots making the twigs crackle beneath his paws. His trusted weapons were right on his sides and back. A few drops of sweat rolled down his face and with swift motion of his paw, he wiped them away. “Ugh. Why does it have to be so fucking warm?” He wondered as he took out his bottle of water and took a swig, noticing it was almost empty. He frowned, knowing that he had to go look for new water somewhere, which meant the same as making a live target out of himself. Suddenly, his ears perked up, as they had picked up a feeble sound. Had he heard it wrong? No, there it was again, clearer now. It was the sound of water close by. He cautiously walked in the direction of the sound, getting louder and louder. He smiled as he noticed that it was a small stream running through the forest. He and held his bottle in it, filling it up again. The water was obviously crystal clear, so it was safe enough to drink from. As his bottle was full, he put it away and stood up. A soft crack made his ears perk, his paw gripping the handle of his mp443. With a quick glance from left to right, he assured himself that the coast was clear and so he continued walking. All of the sudden, a loud 'POK!' could be heard through the forest, as everything went black before his eyes.

II. Worrying results

In the meanwhile, everyfur was working hard in the camp. Nofur really noticed as the evening fell and the sun started to go down. It was only when the air was filled with all sorts of red and blue colors, that somefur started to ask around. “Has Mikey returned yet?” There started to grow an anxious feeling among some of the furs in the camp, as no one could answer 'Yes'. Murmurs and whispers traveled quickly between the walls of the camp, until they reached Elly. As soon as she heard the news, she jumped up, filled with worries. The general's tent zipped open and as the general walked out, everyfur fell silent. He climbed up on a small speaking stand and scraped his throat. “Uh-hum. As some of you might have heard, Mikey still hasn't returned from his daily tour. I'm afraid we can't keep the gates unlocked much longer as it's nearly dark”, He walked off the stand and back into his tent. Suddenly, somefur started crying. It was Elly. Helen walked up and gave her a tight hug, trying to comfort her. As everyfur's eyes turned to them, Helen looked back with a foul look. “Scoot, all of ya!” She said, making everyfur scurry away quickly. She took Elly along to the infirmary, where Tommy was sitting with watery eyes. “I'm t-terribly sorry, Miss. I-I'll keep on praying he's safe and gets back quickly”, He said, not really knowing if it'd help much. “Thank you Tommy,” Elly replied. “Thank you very much”
A soft alarm could be heard through the camp, meaning that there were possible hostiles close by. Somefur yelled something, as it appeared that somefur had caught one of Wortuk's spies. Almost as soon as he was brought in the camp, Elly grabbed him and shook him back and forth. “Where is he? What the hell have you done with Mikey?” She yelled at him. It took three furs to separate them, and the spy looked at her with a non-understanding look. “Mikey? I haven't heard of no Mikey”, “Big, muscled, feline, male! You kidnapped him today!” Elly said, almost going to punch the spy. “Kidnapped him? We haven't kidnapped anyfur at all!” By that time, the general had walked up, trying to figure out what the commotion was all about. “Calm down Elly! And somefur lock this thing up!” Two furs nodded and guided the spy to the prison cells, as Helen took Elly back to the infirmary. “Come on. You need some rest”, Elly could only nod as she was thinking hard. “Then who did kidnap him?”

III. Unexpected encounter
As he came to, he wasn't lying in a big, dark cell like he expected. He was lying in a soft, comfortable bed in a bright room, a small table next to him. At first he thought it had all been a dream, but as he raised his head, he felt a stinging headache. He heard a soft click from an unlocking door as a tall lioness entered the room. Her face was covered with dark stripes, making her appear jaguar or panther like, but as she walked a bit closer, he saw that it were some sort of tribal tattoos or other markings. “Well, I see you're already awake, that's good.” Mikey quickly sat up, ignoring the pain in the back of his head and looked at her. “Where am I? Who are you?” he asked, only to get as reply: “My my, what an awful lot of questions. I'm sure they'll be answered soon enough, but not by me. I'm just here to check up on your health,” She smiled at him, walking a bit closer. “I'm fine. Don't touch me!” he growled at her, only making her smile “As you wish, grumpy” she snickered and left the room, locking it again. Mikey sat there, thinking about what had happened. Somehow, they managed to abduct him, but unlike usual, he found himself in a bright room, on a comfortable bed, greeted by quite an attractive, but mostly kind, lioness. He puffed, surprised by all this. He didn't get long to think as another click sounded and the door opened again. This time it was a lion, with even more stripes than the lioness, who walked in and smiled at him. “Hello there Mikey. I hope you aren't suffering from the headache too much?” the lion asked, a genuine tone of empathy in his voice. Mikey just looked at him, quite fowl, his fangs showing: “I'll ask the same questions I asked that lioness. Where am I? Who are you?” The lion smiled, nodding understandingly, “ahh yes, how rude of me. My name is Panther Diamondclaw and I'm the current leader of a small village called Koyan'dari. Because of our location deep in the forests, we're quite out of range of Wortuk's spies, making it easy for us to work against him.” Mikey frowned as he heard this, hiding his fangs again. “So I'm at a friendly camp? Not a hostile one?” The lion nodded, offering another smile. “Yes, indeed, you are. Our scouts thought you were hostile, so they took you out and brought you here. Luckily for you, one of our soldiers recognized you in time, so we could get you to the infirmary to get you patched up. The lioness you just met is our head doctor, named Liara Silverpad.” Mikey sighed contently, standing up slowly and offering the lion a pawshake. “I'm very sorry to have misjudged you, but nowadays, it's hard to trust someone.” Panther nodded: “It's understandable. I'd be pretty pissed myself.” Mikey smiled warmly “Indeed. Now, I don't mean to be rude, but do you still have my weapons? And if your scouts didn't carry me for too long, our camps shouldn't be that far from eachother.” Panther nodded again “Yes, we still have your weapons. And our scouts didn't carry you that far I think, so it should be quite closeby indeed, but don't you want to join us for a meal first?”
“I'm very sorry, Sir, but I have to get to my camp first. I need to put a few furs at ease after being away this long.” Mikey swallowed softly as Panther thought about it for a moment. “Yes, I understand. Your items are right here,” he said as he pointed to a nearby room, “and I'll give you two scouts to guide you back to the river. Let us know when you get back safely, okay?” Mikey nodded and shook his paw, quickly strapping his weapons on while the lion gathered two scouts. After a brief goodbye they left the camp, where the scouts guided Mikey back to the river. He shook their paws and then continued back home as fast as he could, desperate to see his loved ones again.
