Awful muzak played in the background over the hum of disjointed conversations. Cliques of employees and their families chattered aimlessly, introducing their children to their bosses and their spouses to their co-workers while the cheap decorations hung lack lustre from the walls and ceiling. It was a minimal showing for the holidays they were supposed to be celebrating but the company was more worried about political correctness than the actual success of such a party. Tyler watched people stray this way and that, past the door as he sat on the meeting room table. The dalmatian was content to sit and sip egg nog, frankly the best egg nog he'd ever had, while the rest did their little dance of liking each other. He was however a little disappointed that his only friend in the firm, the fox who insisted he come, had yet to arrive.
