Budferd was born a stray, abandoned by his mother, left to die before being taken in by two sisters. the younger of the two sisters cared for him after one year with her own daughter. they grew up together, he being a protector and aiding the child in any time she was upset or sad. He left the family when he thought it was time, wandering for a purpose.
