First, you try finding a picture of a hawk avian online. Because I tried and they are all terrible. Seriously. Anyway, since avians are complicated, I must explain. He has a beak, and wings on his back, but he also has arms and hands and talon like nails on his hands. His legs are straighter than you would expect and his feet aren't as big... closer to human proportions than hawk's.

 

Now, then. He is a mage, an Ender, generally dressed in a black robe with his wings pushing through the back. He is known to carry a knobby walking stick and carries himself fairly heavily, leaning on the stick like an older man. He was trained by the great Ender Volescu in magic and war, and is more than capable of fending for himself, though he does not appreciate needless conflict.

 

An Ender is a being charged with wandering the world, protecting it from any threats. (They were originally called Conflict Enders) They attempt to stop any serious threats, but they are known to let evil live, because without the Balance between good and evil humanity would not be able to survive. One must experience misfortune to experience fortune. 

[Y] Interests
Andrew attempts to right certain egregious wrongs and defeat large sources of evil, but won't bother himself with a vampire here or a deathstalker there. Outside of his duties, he is a softspoken, widened traveller who enjoys conversation and novel experiences.
[Y] Dislikes
Enders do not busy themselves to destroy every source of evil, but slavery and mass death will surely draw Andrew's ire. Stupidity and ignorance are also things that he does not appreciate.
