Granite was one of the first pureborn hellhound litters.  After centuries of servitude to Hel, the norse goddess of Hel, he decided he couldn't do it any more.  The dark deeds he was ordered to perform merely depressed him and made him feel guilty.  Leaving Hel he traveled many of the darker realms of the netherworld.  His fondest memories are of his temporary apprenticeship to a succubus in Hell, when he discovered, and decided he liked sex.  He has long since come to earth and begun to live his new life there.

Due to his place of origin, Granite is made of psychomorphic particles.  What this means is that his form is altered by those he interacts with.  As a hellhound his form was once manipulated by the fears of those he encountered.  However, since his apprenticeship to the succubus, his form now reflects the desires of those around him.  This does not mean his gender changes, but his build and some features do.
