Born on another planet, Ray grew up living a normal life up until his 6th birthday when his parents died in an accident while he was in school.  Since then, he lived on the streets, hanging around a local gang until shortly after he turned 16, where he lied about his age to join the military.  After four years of active service during a brutal war, he survived his tour and tried going back to civilian life...  That didn't last long, and he started using his skills as a sharpshooter to be a mercenary assassin up until he was sentenced to death for killing a high-ranking government official.  He escaped the planet and exiled himself to the nearest life-sustaining planet: Earth, where he'll try to start over and live as normal a life as he can.
