Once, three thousand years ago, a ravening beast by the name of Tormarion terroized the countrysides of the ancient Emerald Isles. He was a young Lycan, cursed with the Rage and Invoulentary transformation upon the Full Moons. He could not control himself, and so slowly he fell into a horrible state of acceptance, turning into a dark soul who relished in the pain of others. He was brought to an end by a one-time friend. With sword and magic, she put a halt to his torture and bloodlust.
"At least.... that is what you were led to believe..."
But many years later, in the 1700's a nameless baby was born into a rich family of nobles. Nameless because of his bastard blood, he was condemned to a life of shelter and secrets. Upon this boy's 18th birthday however, he was attacked by a wolf that was later thought to be a Lycan in it's most feral form. Badly wounded and traumatized he fell into a coma from which he did not wake for one week. In that coma he regained many of his memories from the 300 years of slaughter and evil, though never did he learn what made him the way he had been. He awoke not as that nameless boy but as Torm, the Lycan. With 300 full years of experience, now tempered by a kind heart and reluctant spirit, the boy was able to return and claim for himself a place at his father's side under guise of a potential student and heir. No one ever needed to know about the blood relation when he was 'adopted' and considered a son regardless. But the father had a clean conscience at last and loved his son all the more for it.
When he passed on, Torm was his only son and recieved the full inheritance. It was in this way that Torm is to date a very wealthy man as he did not squander any money. He was well aware of how long his life would be and he decided to make sure he'd be well off for as long as possible. Investments 100 years in the making create a tidy fortune all their own. So, as Torm lived on, he kept learning and travelled the world for yet more experiences, as free of bloodshed as he could manage. The world was still a dangerous place and battles were sometimes unavoidable. He still had a keen edge in his soul to fight.
Torm has certain triggers that bring him back to old days of misery and torment. He cannot stand the abuse of children or women and anyone who picks fights with his friends soon find themselves in a bad way with a beast of teeth and claws. He also is irked at overly boastful people and thieves of the helpless.
Torm also has a fear of fire deep in his heart that he has never been able to overcome. When faced with it, he will usually tend to revert to more basic instincts like fleeing or using all in his power to quell whatever the source is. He is not usually in control of his actions when this occurs.
