Rinryu was born and raised in a pack setting. Her father, the alpha of the pack, was thrilled when his daughter was born but also saddened. Her mother did not survive the ordeal. Unable to spare the time to properly raise her himself, she was entrusted to many of the other mothers, moving between them and drifting through the ranks.
Despite this displacement, Rin never lacked for a proper educaution and discipline. An excellent hunter, tracker, and warrior (and a modest healer to boot): she was kind and worthy of the loyalty of her friends and elders. Kind to any and all, even the Omega, there was no doubt, when Rinryu was older she would be the the female half of the next generation of Alphas.
Sadly, she was not completely cooperative however. Rinryu wasn't attracted to the male most likely to be next in line with her. No, her attractions strayed to the Omega's cub, Timber. A union that would not be allowed for he possessed none of what the pack needed in a future leader. Derek, her 'match' for the future chased Timber from the pack when he discovered Rin's feelings for the wolf, unwilling to have a challenge in such scum.
Rin, in turn, refused him when the time came for them to be mated and lead together. The pack, split between the two, was struck in half and divided in their territory. Compassionate, strong willed, skilled from the various learnings she'd had as a cub, the wolfess proved to be the more tactical of fighters and eventually drove Derek from her home.
The pack, HER pack, thrives today under her lone rule. Though, everyone would certainly like to see her mated and the next generation of alphas born, something none of her subordinates let her forget.
