Marxam Gray

Marxam was crafted into a fur from his original wolf form by a powerful sorcerer many years ago. During the course of his life with the sorcerer who changed him, Marxam learned the ways of a noble rather well, and served his master as a bodyguard and apprentice for many years, during which he was afflicted with the injury that makes him walk with a cane even today. The sorcerer, obsessed with escaping the ravages of time, devoted his life to making a potion of immortality, a work quite ironically completed only by Marxam (Being guided by the sorcerer) whilst his master lay on his deathbed. The final recipie was a success, but the sorcerer lived only long enough to learn that it was, leaving this world just moments before he was to drink the elixir that would save his life eternally. Marxam's failure to administer the potion in time, and therefore his percieved murder of his master, troubles him still today. Upon his master's death, Marxam inherited the sorcerer's home, labs, and grand book, containing all of his spells and recipies. As well as the sorcerer's sizable wealth, not to mention that the minor potions he has made have garnered sizable coin in and of themselves.

Marxam now spends his days in the mansion left to him, quietly brewing potions, working small feats of magic, and simply occupying his time, of which he has a somewhat troubling amount.
