Bjorn Ursus

Bjorn was born right after his mother died while being hung in a tree with the rest of her village.  He was picked up by the leader of the mercenary troop that attacked the village and taken in as his son. 

The mercenary leader, Rahzes, trained Bjorn at an early age on the arts of war and combat with numerous weapons.  Rahzes used various methods of training Bjorn, however his most prominent was through extensive beatings.  Rahzes also made the young ursine train with weapons larger than standard weaponry of the time, creating a heavily muscled war machine.

Bjorn eventually realized that the way Rahzes treated him was horrible and killed his foster father. 

He has travelled extensively, having presence in almost every war, even if only for a few months at a time, from his upbring to the present.

Bjorn's longevity of life stems from a shard of the spear, Longinus, being inserted into his heart while he lay dying on a battle field by an ancient being (possibly his bioligical father, a demon of unknown origin).  So long as this shard remains inside his heart, Bjorn is able to recover from any wound or disease that would incapacitate a normal furson.
