(Note: This character is from a game I'm working on)

After Earth's destruction in 2032, humanity moved out to space in search of a new home. Finding no planets to suit their needs the humans began construction of 27 massive space colonies across the Milky Way. One such colony went dark around 6212 and no one knew what happened. The High Council (who are in charge of all the colonies) sent out a team of soldiers, mechanics, and a couple doctors to assist the colony. One such soldier was Rio Abdiel, a medic who was transfered from his hospital job to a career in the military during Project Sand (a war between humans and a race of aliens that thought they were being invaded by the humans when they started construction, unknowingly, close to the alien's home planet which ended in an NRP-713 model warhead being dropped on the planet wiping out every single living thing on it.).
