Lovely was a slut slave whose sole job was to accomidate the warriors in the massive army that owned her. She was regularly abused but was passive and submissive, never acting up and rarely resisting.

 One of the army's mad wizards was experimenting with the creation of a Hate Incarnum, a kill crazy spirit born of refined anger and suffering that could be used to empower a soldier or form a ferociously obedient monster. He crafted one out of the hatred and suffering of a township they had recently pillaged, but had not yet formed a body for it. On a truly stupid whim he bound it to Lovely.

 Lovely, who had spent her whole life submitting, didn't even try to resist the incarnum's attempt to control her body. Beyond that, the incarnum was literally made of hatred for the army that he was expected to serve and had absolutely no restraints.

 After massacring his way across the unprepared army camp the incarnum lead Lovely off into the wilderness, and had no idea what to do. Lovely took possession of the body and searched for food, naming her new best friend Hate after all the horrible things his muttered and thought.
