Grey Fawkes is a known hacker, he's one of the best hackers in the world, but not one of the best known. And he's happy to keep it that way. He does jobs as needed to pay for his lifestyle, moving around only occassionally and most notably working from what he calls "The Hive" a collection of quickly constructable machines and boxes that build into computers and monitors tht are almost as powerful as super computers.
One of his most proud achievements is The Hive itself. There has never been anything quite like it, at least that he has ever seen. And when he first started to gain fame, he realized he'd need to be able to move on the fly very quickly. And as such designed The Hive for exactly that. And it has served him well ever since then.
He does not own a home, or much else, even the car he usually drives is in someone else's name. He moves from place to place as needed, staying out of touch of the law, and staying in touch only with those few people that it gives him an advantage to know. He refuses to join or remain part of any hacker underground or groups prefering always to work on his own, for himself.
Grey enjoys delving into the vastness of what he calls "The Signal" he does not like the name "internet" or even world wide web. He thinks these words give the wrong idea as it is not a literal network of computers anymore but rather a cloud connection of servers and routers held in by firewalls and only opened by computers.
He also is known to enjoy reading and sitting back watching people move around him, calling groups of people a "wave" or "Current" he's been known to watch in silence as people move like a giant wave of water around him, children seeming like fish. He enjoys watching "The Wave" when he's not in front of a screen making ripples in the Signal.
