Raised in an orphanage until 16, then kicked out onto the streets, where she learned it's either toughen up or die.  Subsequently, she's become hard, sarcastic and sometimes downright vicious.  Even though she's clean of vices, don't bother looking for a heart of gold.  You won't find one, and you might just get gutted for being too nosy.
