Jedah Ephraim Tellerius was a spellblade in the city guard until he ran afoul of a blackguard.  The last thing he saw was a pair of hateful red eyes staring down at him as life ebbed from his body.  When he awoke, which he realized he shouldn't have been able to do, he lay on a stone slab surrounded by strange iron icons.  He quickly realized that he did not feel the cold or the pain from the massive hole in his chest where the blackguard's sword had pierced him.  When he finally got to his feet, he saw the blackguard sitting not far away, smiling at him.  He raised his swords to attack, only to have his body sieze up.  "You are mine now, spellblade.  You'll serve me until I finally decide to let your body rot."  The blackguard laughed and gestured to a suit of cold iron armor.  Jedah put it on.  What he felt surprised him.  He felt... at home.  He was happy.  Free.  As he'd never been before.  He lauhged, and after a moment, his new ally laughed with him.

Jedah uses dual runed blades in combat, allowing him to channel magical projectiles through them at will. He can teleport short distances and block some, if not all, of a hostile magic attack. He wears a suit of cold iron half-plate that also shields him somewhat from magical effects.
