Elric

As a young child, Elric was always exploring and searching for lost objects. He loved mystery and secrets, and often dreamed of lost treasures. In his teens, he finally became sick of his parents' drinking and drug addiction problems and ran away from home, to live the life of adventure.

He soon learned how difficult life could be, as he struggled to survive for a year or two on the streets and in the woods.But then luck found him when he discovered a large cash of stolen goods in a thieves' den. He took a few things, but was discovered by one of the thieves on the way out. He fled, using his speed and various aquired abilities he'd learned over the years, and wound up leading the entire band of thieves into town and right into the custody of the local militia. Grateful for his help in capturing the long-sought-after rogues, the town gave him a substantial reward- his own little house on the edge of town, which had been recently vacated by a deceased elderly scholar. 

Late one night in his new home, Elric was digging through various dusty books the old man had left behind, and discovered a journal entry detailing the location of the wizard's hidden stash of magical artifacts. After locating the secret hidden door in the floor, he travelled through an underground tunnel for a short while, before coming to a room filled with magical things he couldn't even begin to comprehend. He took some back with him and taught himself, using the old books, how to use a few. He then set off on a half-year adventure, seeking other treasures along the coast and the nearby woods. As luck had it, he stumbled across a small treasure trove hidden by some long-forgotten pirates. From then on, he never had money problems ever again, but continued his constant hunt for more treasure, as well as mysteries to solve.

His constant adventurous hunt for treasure and secrets has gained him not only wealth, but a large amount of knowledge. While he is no master at anything, he is capable of doing at least a little of just about everything, including spell-casting. He also has learned to use a number of different magical objects he has found and keeps in his house when not in use.

He is friendly and charismatic around others, but he seldom stays in town long enough to be very social. He also tends to be a bit impatient, although not rudely so. His impatience is a significant reason for his inability to master msot of the skills he picks up.

As to his sexual and romantic orientation, he has yet to be in a serious relationship of his own, although he loves to occasionally woo the ladies. But for the most part, he comes across as generally disinterested in romance. Secretly, however, he loves romance, especially the secret, forbidden kind, and if he discovers a couple who are in danger for their secret love, he will do whatever he can to protect them and help them stay together without being discovered. 

While he puts on a facade of being completely straight, he is secretly open to romance... and sex... with males as well, and he has been secretly seduced by a few attractive males in the past.  But he will only allow this to happen if the two are in private, or at least hidden from others.
