Vetkin was a member of the Imperial Kendjal but he turned his back on it when he discovered what Lord Oja's true intentions were.

Even though he is an outcast Kendjal, he still wears their armor, wields his Kendjal katana and utilises the very same techniques and equipment he was given as a Kendjal.

Vetkin however was no Kendjal regular, he was one of the thirteen high lords and as such has far more skill with a blade.
