Aura is a rare breed of pokemon  known as a Catolf on an island discovered by Professor Lucaius Tentajer. Aura is the rarest because of her odd coloration, others of her breed take on the colors of normal woodland beasts. She is extremely curious.

Catolfs have mind barriers set up so that other who are psychic can only see what they allow them to. These creatures are very tactile and can only use their own mindspeak when they touch bare skin/fur/etc. They are highly intellegent and very easy to understand. Aura is actually learning how to speak English from Lucaius and various others.
