Serenity is a simple soul.  Born one of the original 13 elemental kitsunes.  She ruled the court of shadows, but that was not enough.  The vixen would attempt to take control of the physical world.  Only the other 12 kitsune could stop her, and they did by destroying her body and sealing her soul in a pocket dimension bound to the shadow kitsune clan.

 Serenity was then ritual bonded to Kitara Darkwynd, another shadow kitsune.  As of right now, Serenity has switched places with the other ninetail and taken control of Kitara's body.  Their souls swapped.
