Jack "The Priest" Pulpit

An actual priest at one point in his life.  Through a mutation, acquires super powers, but believes it to be a gift from Xiamos, his diety.  Convinced and convicted, he lives a life of sacrifice and devotion.

Alternatively, an actual priest seduced and corrupted by the mafia.  Seeking a path to redemption, but forced to be a hit-man.

In a casual setting, usually wears a skin-tight black T-shirt and cream coloured slacks, black belt with a simple gold toned latch buckle. He's well muscled and athletic, even if he's beginning to grey around the muzzle.

Partial list of known super powers.

1. Righteous Fists: Golden flames spontaneously ignite, starting from the elbow and quickly engulfing the entire forearm and fist. These tend to quickly destroy any fabric, and can cause additional fire type damage due to burning.
2. Holy Sword: In extreme situations, the Righteous Fists coalesce into a blade of holy flame, cutting through enemies and obstacles like the scythe through the wheat.
3. Ground Shock: With a stomp, the earth itself ripples like water, knocking enemies off balance.
4. Shield of Faith: A force deflecting bubble appears and envelopes him for a short time, absorbing or deflecting most forms of physical damage.
5. Pyroaffinity: While unable to control fire directly, it still causes minimal damage to him. But at a price.

I don't know if he's going to be a face or a heel.  Ideas include a tank style crime fighter, a member of the mafia as a hit-man ...
