He just couldn't cope with the fact his father died. So, he, probably in the shock that his father is dead, he went to the UK, where he studied in Oxford.

After graduating, he went to the USA, where he met some guy named Will.  He eventually got in a fight with Will, where he used Will's AK-47 to take out Will effectively. 

After being convicted for 7 years at prison, he went to Moscow, Russia, where he, lacking direction in life, decided to join the Army, and reencountered himself withsomeone who looked JUST like him. Sure, he thought someone in this huge world would look like him.

Granted, he found a twin he never heard he had. Separated at birth, they were. But anyway, Carmelo's contract with the army ended, and when to Edmonton, Canada. 

 In Edmonton, he got a job as a detective, at Edmonton Police Department. And here he is...
