Iskra is a kavkazskaya ovcharka from the villiage of Vorotaev, south of Katsjvyk. The kavkaz of Vorotaev do not boast the same rediculous size and musculature of their northern relatives, but they are more open to outsiders, and trading with other species. Parts of Vorotaev even have electricity, and stoneworked buildings.

Iskra holds many common ovcharka interests, such as a hard day's work (in her case, masonry), wrestling, and vodka. She is also highly interested in travelling, and learning things about places and creatures outside of her motherland.

It's generally pretty hard to anger a kavkazskaya.

Iskra retains the joviality of her species, but it seems to be a false front. She has a dominant streak not usually seen in kavkazskaya, and the smile on her muzzle doesn't extend to her cold eyes. If Iskra wants something, and senses she is strong enough to take it, she often does. She has less sympathy for smaller species, and believes that the strong are entitled to what they can take for themselves. It is a mentality that puts her at odds with her own race, who are a peaceful people.

Iskra is technically related to Sasha Kayakova, but was born to a southern kavkazskaya. Therefore, while a supreme specimen as far as Vorotaev kavkazskaya go, she never even came close to the size of her northern cousin. By normal species standards, of course, she is still quite large.

 Iskra assists in carving the marble blocks Vorotaev has started to use in the construction of their newer buildings, and has shown an innate skill in shaping stone. In her spare time, she creates statues of things she has seen in her travels.
