Pilalus is a highly ranked commander in the Spartan army, famous for leading his battallions into what would be seen by others as the mouth of hell and coming out the other side with but a few scratches. He was a boy when he heard of the brave King Leonidas' sacrifice 20 years before, not yet put through the trial by fire that all Spartan men must endure. Even then, he knew that to be given that opportunity, to strike the final crushing blow to Xerxes' army would have been nearly as great of an honor, but the Persians were crushed years ago, before he was a commander, and he now leads his men against whatever army the king wishes for him to. He wears the Crimson of a Spartan commander, the sheild and spear his favorite tools of disembowelment, and as such he keeps the edges of his shield sharpened. A vicious and ruthless warrior, most are often suprised at his gentility and kindness off of the field.
