Dane, son of Icthan, is the father of both Ophelia and Pilalus. He's not particularly fond of his daughter's open attitude with her sexuality, but as he always said..."She's her mother's daughter, that fact remains certain..." He adores his son most of all, extremely proud of how far the once weak Spartan boy had come. He himself had barely passed inspection at his birth, and fought long and hard to become one of the most fearsome warriors of Sparta, and he refused to let his son be cast down into the pit with the other discarded children. Through a little...persuasion...he convinced the queen at the time to spare his child, reminding her of his own status as a child. Sure enough, with help from his father, the weakest child in Sparta came to be the greatest warrior since the 300 Spartans defended Greece from the Persian attack.
