Banquo did not start out as a Gryphon. He was killed by some ghouls and was reincarnated as one. His mind is a little fuzzy about his past, but this does not bother him.

He did join a local army as an Aerial Scout and has found that he loves it. he has the freedom to do as he wishes as far as flying goes and he does not have to worry about were his next meal or a place to sleep.
