They fly through those ice crystal cirrus clouds. Outside temperature, 40 degrees...........Below zero.

Jemu showed their guests a view of the tops of clouds. It was a sight like Nico and Pancho never even dreamed of.

Jemu pilots the cruiser through one of those summer thunder storms that have been around the area during that day. The cruiser flies through, unaffected by the storm. It takes a lot more than wind turbulence and hail to do anything to a cruiser like the one they have.

Samia asked, "Have you ever seen a view like this before?" Pancho replied, "Never have. We've never been in anything that flies before". "We've only seen the jungle from the ground until now", said Nico.

Jemu's wife, Samia has to get onto Jemu from time to time about spooking non-anthro creatures with aerospace vehicles.

Kassa and his dad are the last two aboard.

Jemu offered Nico and Pancho a Ride in the cruiser. Nico and Pancho thought it over for a moment. Finally, Kassa talked them into coming along. "It's another thing we can do together", he told them.

Jemu had Nico and Pancho follow him. Then called them over to where he pulled some bamboo aside, revealing an interstellar cruiser that was hover parked below. "Do believe me now, Pancho?" Jemu asked. Unexpected to Jemu, Nico and Pancho began freaking out. "I HEARD OF THOSE! A FLYING SAUCER!", Pancho hysterically shouted. "PANCHO! RUN!", Nico shouted. "WHOA! Stop", Jemu said as he stoped them. "A little while ago, you made friends with my son. And now...

Nico mentioned to Jemu that he and Pancho had never seen them around before. Jemu told Nico, "That's because we aren't from around here". "I'm not originally from here myself. I stowed away on a freighter out of India when a lot of my family was killed off by poachers", Nico said, Nico and Pancho aren't completely Anthropomorphic and are somewhat subject to what non-anthro animals are. Kassa's species, being highly advanced beings, are capable of comm...

Kassa introduces Nico and Pancho to his family. Jemu, the big blond one, is Kassa's dad. Samia, the big black one, is his mom. The little brown one is Sassa, his sister. And the little black one is younger brother, Tito. Jemu and Samia made mention to Kassa that he had been told about wandering off. But Kassa did make two friends, so his parents didn't really get on him too bad about disobeying them.

Later into the morning, as the day got hotter, a swim feels pretty good.

The three of them, now friends, decided to go do things together. The fruit collecting can wait a while.

"Hi there", Nico and Pancho heard a voice call out. They turned and saw someone they've never seen before. He was also unlike anyone they've ever seen before. Nico climbed down from the banana tree, and Pancho set the fruit bag down to go over and get aquainted.
"We've never seen you here before. I'm Nico. And this is my friend Pancho", Nico told the stranger.
Pancho nodded to him and said, "Hi".
"I'm Kassa. Happy to meet you",

Pancho bags up the fruit, in a discarded burlap sac he and Nico found in the Jungle one day. It's Nico who climbs up trees and picks the fruit because a civet's claws are well suited for climbing, while a meerkat's claws are best at digging.

Nico the civet and Pancho the meerkat started just after dawn, collecting fruit, on a hot, African, mid summer day.

This is that story I posted in July of 2012. The old posting had the original typewriter text in the picture. These pictures are all picture, with better close up detail.
I originally created this art work and story in late 1994 and early 1995, on 8.5 x 11 copy paper, as a book manuscript. During that time, I could never get any publishers interested in it, and there were no art work websites in 1995. We didn't even have internet as we know it back then. I also had no decent copies of it, ...
