Description

Here are two out of the collection of figurines I've made in the year 1994 (they are 19 years old). When I do a series of drawings using the same characters in a story, I first make a 3-D of the characters to draw from. This keeps the characters looking consistantly like the characters they are through out the story. Professional cartoon studios used this method before everything went to computer animation.
These figurines are made from styrfoam (from insulation board construction scraps), and glued together with a hot glue gun, then painted with art and craft paint. The claws are ends of plastic tooth picks. The figurines are 6 to 8 inches tall.
